The 62 year old former NBA basketball star, is in excellent spirits and has been given a very good prognosis by his doctor(s).

Earl “Earl the Pearl” Monroe is in New York this week, to educate African-Americans on the importance of proper diet and health care in the prevention and treatment of diabetes. Monroe has an extensive family history of diabetes. His father, sister and brothers all have or did have the life threatening disease. An important aspect of Monroe’s visit to New York, is to go to numerous restaurants in NY to test taste the diabetic cuisine, that each restaurant serves. The retired NBA star player was asked which NBA team is he supporting for the playoffs this season. His immediate response was….“LA all the way!”

Ken Griffey Jr has reached a one year contract deal, with the Mariners. The 40 year old baseball star seems to have all of his game balls on the right field.

The Phoenix Suns played their ninth straight 100 point or more game, a couple of nights ago.

Lebron James has gotten sick and tired of being asked about his future with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a recent interview….he verbally stressed how sick and tired he’s become with all of the third-degree interrogation by speaking these choice words…”This is the last time, that I will answer any questions about my future!”

James’ frustations were not a reflection of his playing ability. He scored 36 points and made 8 rebounds. M. Williams was scoring points nearly as quickly as James was. Williams scored 28 points and completed 6 assists. The Cavaliers swooped past the Magic with a final score of 102-93.
