Ear-responsible Tyson
[/caption] The on-going saga of Mike Tyson, never has a dull moment. It’s as if, Tyson’s retirement from the ring never existed in his mind. It’s obvious, that he takes advantage of each and every chance to ‘spar’ with someone outside of a qualified boxing environment.
A couple of days ago, while Tyson, his wife and ten month old daughter were at the Los Angeles International Airport….they were approached by a photographer. Refusing to take ‘no’ for an answer….the photographer was punched in the face by Tyson, causing a cut on his {photographer} forehead. The photographer was taken to a local hospital, treated and released for the injury following the confrontation. Both Tyson and the photographer are playing the blame game. They have both filed charges against each other and were both arrested for misdemeanor battery charges. Tyson was arrested, immediately, and the photographer was arrested after his release from the hospital. Both of them are out of jail, after posting bond.
A couple of months ago…. Tyson and Evander Holyfield were invited to appear together on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
During the interview, they were both asked a question, regarding, the possibility of a mutual friendship between the two of them. They both agreed, that they would be willing to work at it and would let bygones be bygones. Holyfield stated, that he had been around Tyson, a few times, since the ear biting attack, but could never get Tyson to carry-on a full conversation with him. He {Holyfield} said, that he forgave Tyson a long time ago, for biting part of his ear off. Forgiveness is one thing, but forgetting is impossible! Especially, when you look at what’s to be forgotten, each and every time, that you look at the man in the mirror.
While we’re on the topic of fighting….Brandon Vera and Frank Mir are an unlikely match. Vera has said in the past, that he has always “idolized” Mir. “I don’t want to call him a stepping stone. I guess, he’s a roadblock in my way,” stated Vera. It only took 1:09 seconds of the first round for Vera to excavate a clearing on his drive up the road of success
