Coffee Takes off the Muscle Weariness

Coffe BeansAustralian scientists believe that coffee helps restore muscles after physical activity. The scientists conducted an experiment on professional cyclists and discovered a complex mechanism which restores the muscles much faster due to the coffee effect. The results of the study apply to other sports as well, particularly to bodybuilding.

As it turns out, caffeine helps glucose get stored in the muscles faster and furthermore get turned into glycogen – the major energy source for the working muscle. During the study the sportsmen drunk 5-6 cups of coffee a day and consumed large quantities of carbohydrates. The scientists believe, however, that coffee and chocolate can not constantly help maintain the muscles in good shape, but are well suited for fast muscle recovery upon necessity.
